WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK:
Well, June is here and the last month of school always seems to fly by at lightening speed! Thank you to those parents who volunteered to drive to the Fire Hall last week. The kids had so much fun (even with our field trip being shorter than planned). Thanks for remembering to send booster seats with your children as well! Please remember to do this again for our next trip on Friday, June 17th :)
Last week, we ran out of time to practice printing our “Magic C” letters (letters that all begin with the letter c shape - a, g, o, q), so we will try to finish this week. Zero the Hero will come to school this week for our 160th day of Kindergarten. We will also start working with vertical addition questions in Math. We will begin a little Father’s Day project this week. Community helpers and safety injury prevention will be covered over the next few weeks, we will touch on fire, road, bike, water, sun, wilderness (review our Hug-A-Tree presentation facts) safety. We will use drama techniques like by miming and role-play to act out jobs and safe and unsafe scenarios.
PARENT DRIVERS FOR BIG LITTLE SCIENCE CENTRE: I will make another blog post/email update tomorrow with confirmed drivers, once I double-check my list which is at school.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR PRIMARY FUN DAY @BROCK POOL - Monday, June 20th:
We must have a minimum of 7 parents (with at least 1 male) in order to supervise swimming and change rooms.
