Highlights from last week:
Last week was full of exciting presentations and events. We completed our swimming lessons, had a presentation about brain injury prevention, as well as a visit from by Project X, and had fun looking through the books at the school Book Fair. Congratulations to Emily Hinds, one of the four winners of the "Roald Dahl Reading Contest" put on by Project X! We were very lucky to have 4 actors come to read part of Roald Dahl's book, James and the Giant Peach. Newsletters were sent home with information about this summer performance. A few students from our class did a wonderful job sharing gumboot dance choreography at last Friday's assembly.
What's happening this week?
In Socials, we will continue to learn about how European explorers and First Nation Peoples traded and bartered with each other. In Science, we will have a short quiz on Light either Tuesday or Wednesday. I am hoping we can very briefly conduct a few experiments on sound as well. Eureka Science will also be coming to our class on Wednesday afternoon. At the beginning of the school year, we created a book, All About Division 4. Each student wrote one page of information about themselves. This week, we will create new pages about how the students have changed over the year. Each student will need to bring a recent photo (can printed from the computer, be black and white, etc.) for their new page.
REMINDERS:
* Please sign and return Science quizzes
* Bring recent photo for All About Me Book
