Next week (Oct. 24-28) is full of activities:
- Tuesday, October 25 - cleaning out and carving pumpkins with our Gr.1 little buddies from 10:45am-12:00pm and from 1:00pm-2:00pm (if additional time is needed). I would love to have a few more parent volunteers to help out. Newspapers, empty ice cream pails or large bowls, serving spoons and small carving knives will also be needed. Please label your materials so students take home the right spoons, knives, etc.
- Thursday, October 27 - Pumpkins of Light at Gardengate from 6:00-8:30pm. This free event will showcase pumpkins that have been carved by Kamloops students. Refreshments will be served during the evening at no charge and any remaining pumpkins will be sold.
- Thursday, October 27 - 10:15-12:00pm - Young Peoples Concert #1 at the Sagebrush Theatre
- Friday, October 28 - 1:00-2:30pm - Halloween Dance for intermediate students. $2 charge. $1 concession snacks available for purchase. We will also be collecting non-perishable food items at the door. The students and teachers have talked about "not feeling pressure" and "not giving pressure" to go with someone to the dance. Teachers are emphasizing that the dance is supposed to be about fun with friends.
