The students enjoyed our last Young Peoples concert. It was a lively, roots music performance that used a wide variety of instruments, like violins, banjos, everyday items like spoons, and even animals parts like cow-bone castanets!
What's happening this week?
Track and Field rotations will continue this week. These rotations are our P.E. class. Each student is expected to get changed into proper gym strip. Students are evaluated each day on participation, performance, and preparedness. In Science we will being to wrap up our unit on food chains. We had a short quiz last week, it was noticeable which students have remained engaged and on-task during class lessons. In Socials, we will continue with our Explorers research project.
Upcoming Events:
- Track and Field Rotations outside - Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 1:00-2:30pm
- Thursday, May 3rd - City Transit Orientation presentation (A First Canada bus driver will introduce the students to the benefits of using transit, give them a tour of a city bus as well as a short bus ride!)
- Thursday, May 10th - Parkcrest Track Meet. This is a full day event so students must have proper P.E. strip and be prepared for the weather (sunscreen, plenty of water, etc.)
