WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK:
I hope everyone remembered to SPRING FORWARD and hour this morning. Remember the boot racks are no longer in the hallway, please remind your child to bring his/her shoes/boots into the classroom.
Our new phonics letter and sound this week is “z”. Please ask your child to review and teach you the Sound Group #4 sheet that was sent home on Friday. In Math, we are continuing to work on simple addition and subtraction equations (aka: “math stories”) with objects, our bodies, pictures and numbers. We will wrap up our “Healthy Living” unit and “Be Safe” program this week. The first yellow paper “Be Safe” newsletter was also sent home on Friday. It contained details about what we covered over the past week. We will also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on Thursday with a few activities.
March 15th - Kindergarten Open House (Student-lead “Brag” Night) from 2:30-4:00 OR 5:30-6:30pm. The sign-up sheet was put up the hallway last week. Please sign up for either the afternoon or early evening session. The kids are very excited to be the “teacher” and show you all the amazing things they have been learning. If you are unable to come on the 15th, please make arrangements with me for another date. I would hate to have any students or families miss out on this special event.
