Happy Easter Weekend! We have another busy-4 day week ahead of us. Mr. Naylor has launched the “Parkcrest Problem of the Week” (link here: Parkcrest Problem of the Week or found on the Parkcrest School webpage). This problem is something that can be done at home as a family and any results can be turned into the office by the end of each week.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK:
WHAT’S HAPPENING THIS WEEK:
This week’s Jolly Phonics sound/letter is “z”. In Printing, we will practice printing lowercase t and a! In Math, we will represent addition equations (aka: “math stories”) using farm animals (e.g., adding up the cows legs, how many animals are on the farm, etc). In Science, we will continue to observe our plant experiments and discuss what affects plant growth. We will also begin learning about farms (animals and produce) and their role and importance.
THIS WEEK’S SCHEDULE:
Monday – Easter Monday (No School)
Tuesday –Roots of Empathy with Wayne & Baby Maisie (Maisie was unable to come last week)
Wednesday – Library with Mrs. Bond

HIGHLIGHTS FROM LAST WEEK:
- Learning about plant parts, what plants need to survive and setting up multiple science plant experiments to see how they grow (we will be observing over the next few weeks)
- Creating rabbit sponge-paint art and learning about a rabbit’s life cycle

- Easter Egg ABC hunt around the classroom and unscrambling the alphabet that was hidden in the eggs
- Hearing about the Star Student’s (Ms. Andrew) Spring Break trip with Katie Koala and learning about her family and favourite things
